Years ago, Lefty Kreh explained his basis for rod design. “There are three things we can emphasize in rod design at TFO……..Presentation, Distance, and Lifting.” Presentation involves accuracy and the manner in which the fly and leader land on the water. Delicacy of presentation may not be a major factor when targeting a species like tuna but it can be all important when tempting trout in a gin-clear stream. Distance of course, refers to how far you can deliver your offering. In some situations this may matter little, in others it can spell the difference between success and failure. Finally, in the fish fighting phase the rod’s primary function is related to its lifting power, a critical consideration when a big fish dogs you in the depths.
Of course, no one rod can perform each of these functions to its maximum potential. But at TFO our rod series are designed to handle virtually every kind of fishing scenario you are likely to encounter. By consulting the chart you can easily select a rod that features a mix of functions that is most suitable for the kind of fishing you’ll be doing. You won’t be disappointed
A finely tuned instrument – lightweight and highly responsive.
That’s what experts are saying about our new BVK series of fly rods. Engineered to the highest performance standards, the BVK utilizes new materials that dramatically reduce weight while creating an aggressive blend of power and strength. The result is amazing performance and an incredible price.
BVK rods are fast action rods designed to excel in Presentation and Distance. The rich translucent olive blanks are topped with matching braided carbon fiber reel seats, REC recoil stripping guides, ultra lightweight chromium-impregnated stainless snake guides and flor grade grips that are comfortably contoured and uniquely contrasted. Available in 3 – 10 weight.

Here at Allways Angling we do everything we can to help our customers with genuine warranty processes. However, for the best chance at getting your warranty approved by the supplier, we need to have the product returned to us in the exact condition as when the fault/damage occurred. Make sure that when you send items back to us for a warranty assessment by the supplier, it is packaged and sent as carefully as you would if it was a brand new product.
When sending back items remember to make sure the item/s are clean (if they have been used) and send them back protected, in a box so they do not get further damage during transit.
Freight costs both to and from Allways Angling or warranty purposes is the customers responsibility. Please contact us if you require assistance with freighting your warranty items back to us.
Please also be aware that manufactures warranties are for Manufacturers faults only, wear and tear are NOT covered by warranty. When purchasing Graphite Rods...DO NOT grab the tips and bend them over to test them, this is the leading cause of rod returns and this will not be covered by warranty. When threading you line through the guides, make sure your bail arm is open. DO NOT pull the line against the drag of the reel, this will pull the rod tip over at a sharp angle and break the tip as well. When fishing. DO NOT high stick the rod. Don't lift the rod vertical into the air. This is another leading cause of rod failure.
PLEASE NOTE: If the buyer wishes to return an item due to it not being what they thought, the buyer will be charged for the freight that it cost to send the item plus the return freight cost as well plus 10% administration fee.
